Q: Are Hawk Holds DOT compliant, and what’s their capacity?
A: Yes. Our tie-down system is DOT compliant. Each individual Hawk Hold is properly rated with a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 1,300 lbs., clearly marked on a legible tag.
Q: Can I install Hawk Holds on any trailer or truck bed?
A: Our system is highly versatile. We offer various tie down brackets for trailers and truck beds, including the following brackets: Stake Pocket, Rail, Tongue, D-ring, and Removable Receiver Plate. Customize your setup for perfect anchor points wherever you need them. Note: Our stake pocket bracket is compatible with most standard-sized stake pockets found on utility trailers and is 3.5″ wide and 1.39″ deep.

A: Hawk Holds include two parts: steel brackets and retractable ratchet straps. The brackets have a robust powder coat finish providing protection against rust, corrosion, and everyday wear and tear from road salt, weather, and general use. These brackets are made in-house. The retractable straps are purchased. To protect your ratchets from the elements, we recommend using our Hawk Hold Covers when not in use.
